Cedar Falls
The most reliable and biggest, in terms of water volume, of the waterfalls is Cedar Falls. Located in the stunning Hocking Hills State Park, this waterfall is a must when sightseeing in Ohio! Spanning over 50 feet, Cedar Falls looks much bigger in person than in pictures. From the top, water slides down a massive chunk of sandstone, splits in the middle and then meets up again before plunging into a pool. This creates a rather unique-looking waterfall. After enjoying this wonder, make your way to the large rocky beach like area at the base of the Falls, where you can relax and enjoy the view.
Upper Falls
Located along the Old Man’s Cave trail in Hocking Hills State Park, Upper Falls is at the east end of the 1/2 mile long Old Man’s Cave trail! This beautiful waterfall is about 15 feet high and is an awe-inspiring site!
Big Spring Hollow Falls
At over 100 feet, Big Spring Hollow Falls is one of the highest, if not the highest, waterfall in the Hocking Hills area. Providing a wispy curtain of spray, this waterfall is at least 10 feet wide, which makes it all the wispier. Reaching this waterfall is a work out, so come prepared to trek a good distance.
Rockbridge Falls
As the name suggests, this waterfall flows under a natural bridge, giving it a unique look. Rockbridge Falls only has water flowing down occasionally; however, the combination of natural features makes it worth a visit. The falls and bridge are located in the Rockbridge State Nature Preserve, which is located at the end of Dalton Road. Make time for this beautiful waterfall!
