Meet the Owners

Zac was born in Lancaster, Ohio and is the oldest of four children. He moved to the Columbus area when he was nine years old and later graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School. Zac purchased his first home at 19 and immediately found a passion for real estate. He began work for a new construction company and later became an independent agent followed by starting his own company for real estate services and investments. That is where his passion for the Hocking Hills and customer service really came together. Zac spent several years coordinating the construction, sale, and investment in log homes across the Hocking Hills as he shared his passion for the area with clients, friends, and family.
Upon meeting Ellen and Terry, Zac received his first tour of the grounds at the Inn and immediately fell in love with the area all over again. Everything spoke to him as he wandered the grounds with Terry and he just couldn’t wait to learn all about the history and how such a magical place came to be. He believes everything happens for a reason and feels honored and blessed to be entrusted with the continuation of Anne’s vision and the dream Ellen and Terry have made into a reality. Zac enjoys spending time with his family most, but also enjoys traveling, hiking, riding ATVs, SCUBA diving, and playing golf.

Lauren was born and raised in Westerville, Ohio. Her first career was in property management near Easton Town Center where she could put her talents in problem-solving together with her desire to meet new people. She has a passion for quality relationships and new experiences that really shows in her day to day interactions. She transitioned her skills in property management and relationship building into a career in new home sales and became the top sales rep for that company for the duration of her time there. It wasn’t until she decided to start something new with Zac that she moved on to help him start their business together. Never looking back, she now continues to come up with new ideas and provide direction in their work together. She also decided to take on the task of homeschooling the kids which has turned into a new passion that comes with its fair share of challenges and rich rewards. Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, being in nature, cooking, and has a non-stop thirst for learning all about the world.

As A Family

Zac and Lauren met at the young age of 18 and knew that they had something special. They were married just three years later and began a family five years after that. Together, they built a real estate business in Central Ohio that would become one of the top-performing buyer/seller reps in the city. They also began investing in real estate. Zac holds client appointments and searches for investment opportunities while Lauren runs the office and performs administrative duties. Lauren also homeschools the children year-round which leaves a lot of flexibility when traveling and working together with Zac. They are quickly finding their way around the workings and happenings of the Inn and look forward to continuing the legacy that has been created. Their two children, Carter & Quinn, are also anxious to be a part of the team that makes the Inn so special and they are sure to be around the grounds often. They also have two dogs who travel with them, Buddy & Frankie.

As A Team

Zac & Lauren, along with Ellen & Terry are working to cultivate a culture of a dynamic management team and dedicated staff. They hold their strong values in providing exceptional care of our guests and business – even when they aren’t on the property. As they transition into ownership, the Inn’s dedicated leaders of Nicole McCabe, General Manager, and Matt Rapposelli, Executive Chef, along with the rest of the top-notch team will continue to uphold our mission of EXCELLENCE in all that we do.
The Inn continues to grow and review its mission. It has remained the same throughout 32 years of operation and Zac & Lauren’s goal is to continue what makes the Inn so special: the service, the setting, and the one-of-a-kind experience. Simply put, it says, “We are a Country Inn in a peaceful, natural setting where people can connect with the earth and universe. We are dedicated to high standards — standards of Excellence. We have committed ourselves to quality food, quality surroundings, quality service, and quality employees.”
Today, Zac, Lauren, and the dedicated staff continue to carry on Anne’s dream and Ellen & Terry’s creation. Put us to the test to help you create and enjoy the best getaway ever.
