One of the highlights to explore along this self-guided route is Conkle’s Hollow. Here, you can venture along a short and scenic trail through an inspiring gorge complete with captivating rock formations and caves. It’s just 15 minutes north of Hocking Hills State Park and there are two trail routes to choose from once you arrive. The first is a 1-mile path to a waterfall and the second is a 2-mile trek to see the gorge area in more detail.

2. Cantwell Cliffs

The Hocking Hills Scenic Byway also takes you by Cantwell Cliffs, where you can get out and hike to a cave and waterfall as well.
