Inside, you’ll find a homey environment perfect for sipping a beer or two. It’s the perfect place to go after a long day of exploring the area! Here, you can enjoy everything from German-style hefeweizens to delicious IPAs! Plus, you can always bring your own food to pair with your favorite brews.
2. Rockmill Brewery
If you’re a fan of unique brews, you’ll love Rockmill Brewery. This small-production organic brewery in Lancaster, OH, sits on a former horse farm and offers specialty beers that are perfect to pair with food. We recommend bringing a brown bag lunch from our restaurant when you go! You’ll love the spacious farmhouse tasting room and fresh, one-of-a-kind beers.
3. Buckeye Lake Brewery
Founded in 2012, Buckeye Lake Brewery is known for experimenting with ingredients and styles. Favorite flavors include the Buckeye Lake Blonde, a medium-light bodied beer with a malty taste, and Hennessy’s Irish Red, a medium-bodied beer that has a wonderful caramel sweetness. In the tasting room, guests can enjoy live music, appetizers, weekly Taco Tuesdays, and frequent visits from local food trucks.
4. Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery
Jackie O’s unique production facility in Athens, OH, has been skillfully aging specialty beers since 2013. One of their most unique aspects is that they grow many of their own ingredients on their local farm! Their seasonal brews have something for every palate and include popular pints like the Barging Pumpkin. Locals know that this is a true taste of fall! Grab a freshly baked pizza while you’re here; there’s no better combo than pizza and beer.
5. Devil’s Kettle Brewing
Experience brews by an Ohio Craft Beer Week winner when you visit Devil’s Kettle Brewing! Here, you will find premium ales and lagers. The small tasting room is open Wednesday through Sunday and has a quiet, intimate atmosphere.
6. Little Fish Brewing Co.
Known for brewing simple, rustic, and delicious beers in Athens, Little Fish has a philosophy of sustainability. They use organic malts, locally grown specialty grains, and 100% wind-powered electricity to create farmhouse ales, sours, lagers, and hoppy pale ales. We recommend pairing a craft beer with their permanent food truck, Pork & Pickles. You can visit them any day of the week!
