5 of the Best Scenic Drives in Ohio 

1. Hocking Hills Scenic Byway 

This historic route takes visitors deep into the hills of southeastern Ohio and introduces them to some of the region’s crown jewels. As you travel along the 26.4-mile Hocking Hills Scenic Byway, you’ll see many points of interest including Ash Cave and the State Forest Headquarters. It’s a great way to explore the area without traveling too far from the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls. 

2. Combing Brush Road 

Located in Warren Township, Combing Brush Road will have your jaw hitting the floor at least a few times. The beautiful countryside scenery is a favorite for locals, who purposely take the longwayaround just to enjoy the view this scenic route offers. You’ll find the start of Combing Brush Road in Washington County, which is just over an hour’s drive from Logan, OH. 

3. White Oak Hill Road 

During the fall, a trip down White Oak Hill Road is a must! The steep and scenic road in Pike County offers a unique off-the-beaten-path experience that you’ll want to enjoy again and again. Pike County is about an hour outside of Logan, OH, but the scenery is well worth the journey. 

4. The Ohio River Scenic Byway 

ThOhio River Scenic Byway is a beautiful journey through the countryside that leads you along the Ohio River and through several of the area’s most charming small towns. The history-rich route also reveals artifacts and stories ranging from Native American habitation to industrialization. 

5. Covered Bridge Scenic Byway in Ohio 

Running parallel to the Muskingum River, the Covered Bridge Scenic Byway traverses some of Ohio’s most beautiful countryside. The road follows State Route 26 from Marietta to Woodsfield, about an hour and a half from the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls. It also includes markers that will help self-guided tourists find the major points of interest and stopping points along the byway.
