During the winter months, visitors can enjoy ice fishing under proper conditions.

Burr Oak State Park

Located in southeast Ohio, Burr Oak State Park offers 2,593 acres of natural wonder. Situated in a quiet and remote location, the park is about an hour from our inn and is a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all types.

Burr Oak Lake is well known for catches of largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. In the winter months the lake becomes a popular destination for ice fishing. A valid Ohio fishing license is required.

Scioto Trail State Forest

This natural gem is small, quiet, and nestled in beautiful 9,000-acre Scioto Trail State Park. The 218-acre state park is an undisturbed wooded refuge just south of Chillicothe. The ridgetops and winding forest roads offer breathtaking views of the Scioto River Valley. The beauty and remoteness of Scioto Trail offers a breathtaking escape for park visitors.
