Spend a Day with the Hocking Hills Canoe Livery
Day Trips
The Livery offers two river trip options for paddlers of all ages and skill levels. Each includes a life vest and paddle, as well as complimentary transportation to the starting points.
- Crockett’s Trip: Crockett’s Trip follows the river for five miles and takes about an hour and a half to complete. Several islands near the start of the trip make great stopping places for a picnic lunch. (We can even pack one for you!) Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the Natural Rockbridge along the way. Guests are welcome to explore this route by canoe, kayak, or raft.
- Rockbridge Trip: This popular excursion adds two extra miles to Crockett’s Trip. There are more islands and sandbars, a few narrow areas, and several viewing spots for observing people on the nearby zip line. You can even leave the river and hike up to the Natural Rockbridge. This trip is available by canoe or kayak.
Night Floats
Paddle your canoe from sunset to darkness! Moonlight tours are available on several evenings throughout the year and begin between 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. You’ll make your way down the river using only the light of the moon as it reflects off the water. Don’t forget to bring a flashlight! After your trip, head back to the Livery and enjoy a roaring bonfire, s’mores, and a local bluegrass band. The cost of this trip is $45 per canoe for two people. Call (740) 385-0523 or email [email protected] to make your reservations!
Tent Camping
Want to spend a night under the stars? The Hocking Hills Canoe Livery has several campsites along the river. Restrooms are located in the Shower House, and each unit has its own shower, toilet, and sink. A utility sink is also located on the porch for dishes, shoes, or whatever needs to be washed up.
